Appointments
You can make an appointment with the doctor or nurse by phoning the surgery AFTER 8.30am or by calling in person when the reception is open:
You have a right to express a preference of practitioner and we will do our best to give you an appointment with the doctor of your choice. Should your preferred doctor not have a free appointment you will be offered an appointment with one of the other GPs in the practice.
You will never be refused to see a doctor if one is available. If you no longer need your appointment, please let us know.
Please remember that appointments are for ONE person only. If you feel your consultation may be lengthy, ask the receptionist for a DOUBLE APPOINTMENT when you book.
Telephone Consultations
Telephone consultations can be arranged on request. A time is set aside at the end of morning surgery.
Evening and Weekends
GP Appointments are now available in your area during the evenings and at the weekend. To book an appointment call your practice.
PLEASE HELP US TO HELP YOU
- Mondays are our busiest day – if something can wait please try later in the week.
- The phone may be busy at peak periods eg from 8.30am to 9.00am each morning and again from 12:30-1.30pm. Please be patient – don’t blame the receptionist!
- Request home visits before 11.00am these are specifically for our housebound patients so please try to attend surgery whenever possible.
- Remember one appointment is for one person only – if you think you may need longer than 10 minutes please ask the receptionist for advice.
- Please inform us if, for any reason, you are unable to keep an appointment with any member of the practice team. Try to give us as much notice as possible.
- Inform us of any change in your address or circumstances and make sure we have an up-to-date telephone number.
