Anima is our new online consultation system. It allows you to submit medical or administrative requests quickly and securely during our opening hours. Once submitted, your request goes straight to our clinical team for prompt and efficient triage.
If you do not have access to the internet, please contact us on 01934 842 211 and a member of our practice team will be happy to submit a request on your behalf.
Please submit the request yourself rather than via the reception desk wherever possible
Some of the information required can be personal, and completing the form properly takes time. To protect your privacy and ensure accuracy, Reception cannot complete the forms for you. However, we can support you in other ways: we can provide a tablet for you to complete the form online while you’re here, or you can complete it on your own device at any time.
Submit a request for a GP appointment by clicking here.
Please note: You no longer need to log into an account to do this.
One of our experienced GPs reviews every request on the day it is submitted.
They may message you for more information, invite you to an appointment, or pass your request to the most appropriate member of our team.
We will aim to respond to every request by the end of the next working day.
Please see the video link below for help using Anima. If you still have difficulties, our reception team will be happy to assist you.
We offer a private podiatry clinic at the surgery every Wednesday in Winscombe practice, providing a convenient local service for our patients.
Physiotherapists are available at the practice. Please contact reception or submit a request through Anima to book an appointment.
If you need a home visit, please try to call reception before 11:00am.
Home visits are for patients who are housebound or too unwell to attend the practice. Your GP will assess whether a visit is clinically necessary and how urgent it is.
Community Nurses can visit you at home if your GP refers you. Health Visitors will visit if you have a new baby or are newly registered with a child under five.
Please request home visits only when essential, as a GP can see around four patients in the surgery in the time it takes to complete one visit.
Home visits usually take place between 1:00pm and 3:30pm, so the doctor may not arrive immediately after morning surgery.
Home visits cannot be provided for transport difficulties or social reasons.
